A bit about us

At the heart of the community

Pat Midgley Community Hub was built in 2022 by Great Places Housing Group. Responding to calls from local people, they recognised that Wybourn's existing community spaces weren't large or flexible enough to support the kind of activities and projects the area needed.

The hub was built not just as a meeting place, but as a springboard — somewhere that helps residents build confidence, develop skills, and play an active role in shaping the future of Wybourn. The aim from the start has been to grow individual and collective capacity across the community.

The hub is a welcoming base for local residents — somewhere people can come to activities, attend classes, and access support services close to home. Working alongside statutory and voluntary partners, we aim to make sure everyone in Wybourn can find the help, resources, or connections they need.

Opening Day

On the 16th July 2022 we celebrated the opening day of the Pat Midgley Community Hub.

Joined by Pat's family, friends and colleagues, members of the local community and Great Places Housing Group. The ribbon was cut, and a plaque in memory of Pat was unveiled.
